Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
The power of reflection
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a talking therapy. It involves identifying unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. By looking at how we can challenge and change these we can improve the way we manage difficult emotions and cope with day to day life.
At Reflect CBT I can support you in gaining an understanding as to what is affecting your mental wellbeing and work with you to achieve a resilient mindset.
Jennifer Lindsay
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
I'm Jennifer, a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (DipCBT). While my approach to therapy is predominately CBT based, I integrate this with elements of person centred counselling. You can be reassured that your sessions will be rooted in non-judgement and empathy.
Prior to qualifying as a CBT therapist I worked as an NHS dentist for nearly 20 years within the Community Dental Service/ Public Dental Service. A large part of my role was working with anxious patients so I have extensive experience and understanding of dental related anxiety and phobia. I know how debilitating and upsetting dental anxiety can be and the impact it can have on your mental and physical health. I can help you overcome dental anxiety and accept treatment with your own dentist with confidence instead of fear.
As a dentist, I also worked with patients with a variety of medical conditions. CBT has been shown to be a useful approach for people coming to terms with serious medical diagnosis, living with chronic illness and coping with disability. I am experienced in providing CBT to clients struggling with issues around this.

Compassionate Counselling
- CBT is usually delivered over between 6 and 20 sessions.
- Sessions last for 50 minutes
- I offer online sessions UK wide
- I offer face to face sessions just south of Glasgow, G77
- I currently only work with people over 16 years old
- I offer a free, no obligation 15 minute phone call prior to committing to your first session. This allows you to get an idea of whether I am a good fit for you. It also lets me know a little more about what you are seeking therapy for and if I am the right person to help.

The time is now
"The essence of cognitive therapy is to help a person be unburdened by his past and future and to live in the present with full meaning and satisfaction"
